With Great Loss Comes Great Healing: Using Geektray™ Play Therapy  to process Grief

Part of the 2026 Geek Play Therapy Summit

Presented by the founder of GeekTray™, this experiential training explores grief through the lens of fandom—especially Marvel narratives—using the expressive power of play and sandtray therapy.

Through symbolic miniatures and metaphor-rich storytelling, participants will examine themes of loss, transformation, and resilience as it appears in play therapy sessions.

This hands-on session equips clinicians with creative, culturally responsive interventions to support clients in processing grief with meaning and connection in their play therapy sessions.
